Technology is a constant presence in children’s lives. In this digital world young children are familiar with the use of tablets, computers, and smartphones. While technology can promote learning and creativity, overuse can impact children’s physical health, social-emotional development, and attention spans. This training explores how technology affects young children’s growth and what strategies child care providers can use to create healthy digital habits. Participants will learn how to integrate technology meaningfully in early learning environments while supporting face-to-face interactions, imaginative play, and family partnerships. Together, we’ll discuss current research, share real-life experiences, and reflect on our own technology practices to create balance and connection for the children we serve.

Authentic Assessment has many uses in child care settings. Authentic assessment can inform our knowledge about children through the use of observation, use of video & conversations with families.  Through this shared discovery, child care providers can learn specifics about the child's "Who, What & How" questions. Let's join together to consider how Authentic Assessment can assist us in intervention planning, assessing if our interventions are working & whether further evaluation is warranted.

Esta capacitación es de naturaleza teórico-práctica y proporciona al proveedor de cuidado infantil en Illinois una base sólida para integrar herramientas de IA en su operación diaria. Basado en las actualizaciones 2026, el taller busca que el participante logre automatizar tareas administrativas, mejorar la comunicación con las familias y diseñar entornos de aprendizaje enriquecidos, siempre alineados con los estándares de seguridad y cumplimiento del DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services) de Illinois, con la finalidad de iniciar la transformación de la gestión del programa de cuidado infantil.

Este entrenamiento aprobado por el Departamento de Servicios de Niños y Familias (DCFS) de 3 horas le enseñará la Resucitación Cardiopulmonar (RCP) básica y las técnicas básicas de primeros auxilios para bebés, niños y adultos. La certificación es válida un año hasta la fecha.
