Biting is inevitable and common among children under the age of three. It is important to understand the developmental reasons for biting in order to prevent it and deal with it when it happens. Dealing with biting in group care calls on a variety of strategies to prevent and discourage biting and to promote pro-social behavior. Through discussions you will have the opportunity to explore your own emotions and work on practical solutions to decrease this challenging behavior.
