Brain Development: How to Nurture a Child’s Developing Mind

with Kenyatta Scott

Free

Description.

Experiences young children receive in the first five years of life are so important to brain development, as research shows about 90% of a child’s brain is developed during this time. Development of the brain is influenced by many factors, including a child’s relationships, experiences and environment. Learn about the important role you play in building a young child’s brain and what you can do as a teacher and/or childcare provider to best support a child’s healthy development and growing brain. We will explore tools and strategies teachers and/or childcare providers can use to address the impact brain science has on understanding behavior, development of young children, and how to support and nurture a child’s developing mind.
