Brain Development: How to Nurture a Child’s Developing Mind (Part 2)

with Kenaytta Scott

Free

Description.

Experiences young children receive in the first five years of life are so important to brain development, as research shows about 90% of a child’s brain is developed during this time. Development of the brain is influenced by many factors, including a child’s relationships, experiences and environment. Learn about the important role you play in building a young child’s brain and what you can do as a teacher and/or child care provider to best support a child’s healthy development and growing brain. We will explore tools and strategies teachers and/or child care providers can use to address the impact brain science has on understanding behavior, development of young children, and how to support and nurture a child’s developing mind.
